News from the Da Nang City Labor Federation on June 14 said: The Da Nang City Labor Federation organized the 2nd Voluntary Blood Donation Day in 2026, attracting a large number of trade union officials, union members and workers in the city to participate.
The program continues to affirm the spirit of responsibility, noble gestures and the tradition of mutual affection of union members and city workers towards the community.
From early morning, hundreds of union members and workers were present at the organizing location to register to participate in blood donation. The work of receiving, screening health and taking blood was carried out according to professional procedures, ensuring safety for blood donors.
The atmosphere at the festival was lively and warm with the active and voluntary participation of many union members from grassroots trade unions, professional unions and affiliated units.
To ensure that the program takes place scientifically and effectively, the City Labor Federation has proactively allocated a reasonable time frame for participating units, limiting the situation of gathering many people at the same time, and creating favorable conditions for union members and workers to perform noble gestures while still ensuring health and work.
As a result, the 2nd Voluntary Blood Donation Day in 2026 received 742 units of blood. This is a valuable blood source contributing to supplementing the blood bank to serve emergency and treatment work at medical facilities, meeting the health care needs of people in the city.
One of the units with the number of active union members is the Grab Technology Drivers' Union. Representatives of the union said that as soon as they received notifications of voluntary blood donation from the City Labor Federation, many union members actively registered to participate with the desire to contribute a small part of themselves to the community.
“We are very grateful to the City Labor Federation for creating conditions for union members to have the opportunity to participate in this meaningful activity. Each unit of blood donated is a living opportunity given back to the patient, so union members are very excited and actively respond,” Ms. Vo Thi Thu Suong - representative of the Grab Technology Drivers' Union shared.
The radiant smiles of union members after completing blood donation have contributed to spreading the beautiful image of sharing spirit, responsibility and compassion in the team of workers, civil servants, and laborers of the city.
