Workers enjoy many benefits
Mr. Nguyen Kim Qui, Chairman of the grassroots trade union of District 8 Public Service Co., Ltd. (HCMC), said that in 2025, production and business are difficult, and the company plans to postpone vacations for employees.
The grassroots trade union has discussed with the director, proposed to organize a short trip to Mui Ne - Phan Thiet, cut costs and work with travel agencies to build appropriate funding. Thanks to that, the company's leaders agreed to organize a vacation for workers and the company had a very fun trip, even if it was short-term and many activities required tight belts.
Mr. Qui added that through the process of direct dialogue and negotiation, from the fourth quarter of 2025, the grassroots trade union and the Company's Board of Directors have agreed to adjust the appendix of the Collective Labor Agreement, increasing mid-shift meal allowances for employees from 27,000 VND/portion/day to 35,000 VND/portion/day, helping employees have more nutrition and ensure health.
Not only that, the Collective Labor Agreement stipulates that the average salary of employees reaches 9.9 million VND/person/month (excluding bonuses and meal allowances). On holidays, employees are rewarded 500,000 VND/person.
Contributing to building harmonious and stable labor relations
Mr. Qui is just a typical grassroots trade union president who actively dialogues and negotiates to bring benefits to workers. Among the 101 outstanding and typical grassroots trade union presidents in collective dialogue and negotiation in 2026 who have just been commended by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Ho Chi Minh City has 9 grassroots trade union presidents honored.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Be Huong - Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Viet Uc Environment Joint Stock Company - can be mentioned - in the period 2023 - 2025, she coordinated with the company to organize periodic and unscheduled dialogues in accordance with regulations. At the same time, proactively grasping the thoughts and aspirations of union members, choosing practical content for dialogue and negotiation has brought many results such as: Employee salaries increased by an average of 1 million VND/person/year; organizing tourism for union members with a total budget of more than 2.7 billion VND (an average of more than 12.3 million VND/person/year).
The grassroots trade union of Viet Uc Environment Joint Stock Company also negotiated, signed and supervised the implementation of the company's collective labor agreement with many clauses beneficial to employees such as: Bonus for each annual holiday an average of 1 million VND/person; bonus for female employees on March 8th and October 20th an average of 1.6 million VND/person/year; support for congratulating employees' weddings from 500,000 VND - 5 million VND/person and in-kind allowances for employees 12,000 VND/person/day.
Or like Mr. Nguyen Trung Tinh - Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Foster Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. - has proactively negotiated and participated in signing collective labor agreements with many clauses beneficial to employees in terms of salary, bonuses, meal benefits, meals, seniority, funerals, contributing to helping the average income of employees increase from 8.5 million VND/person/month in 2023 to 12.5 million VND/person/month in 2025; bonuses for holidays during the year are also increased from 300,000 VND to 500,000 VND. Employees are also entitled to private leave but still receive full salary for 1 day in case paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents, siblings die; men whose wives have children are entitled to an additional 1 day off compared to the provisions of the law.
Mr. Tinh's actions have contributed to maintaining harmonious and stable labor relations in the company in the period 2023 - 2025, without disputes or collective work stoppages.
