Mr. Khoa emphasized: “We are constantly striving to develop the craft village, increase the value of brocade weaving products, as well as organize vocational training courses for the people. This not only helps preserve the culture of the Muong people but also brings stable jobs and income to local workers.”
In addition to maintaining and developing traditional crafts, Dong Lai Brocade Weaving and General Services Cooperative also contributes to the socio-economic development of the community. Ms. Bui Thi Mia (born in 1967, Dong Lai commune), a long-time weaver, shared: “Weaving is not only a part of Muong cultural values, but also creates more jobs for women in the village. Thanks to brocade weaving, her family and many other families have a stable income.”
Similarly, My Tan Agricultural Cooperative in Cao Duong Commune, Luong Son District was established in 2018 and currently has 65 participating households. Thanks to the conversion to production according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, My Tan Cooperative's agricultural products have been favored by the market thanks to their sweetness, aroma and food safety.
Mr. Do Quoc Huong, Director of My Tan Cooperative, informed that the unit has created many jobs with stable income of 8 - 10 million VND/month, contributing to improving the economic life of households participating in the cooperative.
According to the report of the Hoa Binh Provincial Cooperative Union, the locality currently has 511 cooperatives in operation, attracting 7,603 members and 26,011 workers (including 8,524 regular workers and 17,487 seasonal workers).
Mr. Ha Ngoc Tuan - Chairman of the Hoa Binh Province Cooperative Union assessed that cooperatives in the area have created stable jobs for tens of thousands of rural workers. The activities of cooperatives contribute to creating jobs, reducing production costs to increase product value, increasing income, contributing to hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and social security in the locality. In the coming time, the unit will focus on establishing new cooperatives, especially in remote communes, innovating operating methods, thereby actively contributing to the development of agricultural economy and new rural construction.
