On the morning of December 21, the DSEZA MARATHON 2025 running race with the theme "Connecting Steps - Joining Hands to Sharing" took place at the Da Nang High-Tech Park. The event was chaired by the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones (DSEZA), in coordination with the City Labor Federation and Lao Dong Newspaper, attracting more than 800 workers to participate, creating a festival of health and solidarity.
The most central and humane highlight of the program is not the finish line with medals, but the Sharing Hands activity. Here, the organizing committee solemnly presented 20 support gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances, deeply demonstrating the spirit of mutual love.
Behind the bright smiles of the athletes is the story of 20 workers who are facing adversity every day. That was the case of Ms. Phan Thi Ngoc Nguyen (Central Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company) who had just had a work accident and had to be hospitalized waiting for a skin transplant while working as a main breadwinner. That is Ms. Do Thi Diem (CCI VN Co., Ltd.) who is fighting the disease of cancer, or Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc (Fujikura Automotive Company) who is the only pillar to work to support his mother with stage 2 cancer.
Many other circumstances are a burden on the skinny shoulders, such as Ms. A Thoi Thi My Hanh (Fujikura Automotive Company) - a single mother of the Co Tu ethnic group - living alone in a rented house raising 3 young children. The difficulties are piling up as many of their families are still heavily affected by the recent historic floods.
The race has ended, but the spirit of "Connecting - Sharing" will continue to spread, strongly affirming the humanistic value and practical support that the business community and workers in Da Nang always aim for.
