
As of 8:30 p.m. on December 17, the Vietnam Sports Delegation continued to rank 3rd on the SEA Games medal total.
After 8 days of official competition, Vietnamese athletes have brought home a total of 188 medals, including 54 gold medals, 69 silver medals and 92 bronze medals.
The Thai sports delegation still maintained the number one position when far surpassing the remaining opponents. The host of the SEA Games currently owns 183 gold medals, creating a significant gap in the rankings.
In second place, Indonesia won 72 gold medals, 84 silver medals and 90 bronze medals, 8 gold medals more than Vietnam.
Meanwhile, Singapore and Malaysia ranked in the top 5 respectively. The remaining rankings are Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Brunei and Timor Leste.
