On August 30, the grassroots trade union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Di An ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said that the unit had just implemented a support campaign for female union member N.T. T. L - working in the Di An workshop production department.
According to Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd., during a periodic health check-up at the company in 2025, ultrasound results revealed that Ms. N.T. T. L had abnormal signs. The female union member was advised to go for in-depth examination at Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital. Here, the doctor diagnosed Ms. L with stage 2B breast cancer. Currently, she has had surgery, completed the radiation therapy phase and switched to chemotherapy.
The incurred cost of treatment exceeded the family's ability to pay. Meanwhile, Ms. L had to quit her job for treatment, so she had no income. Her husband's income was also unstable. The family had to sell the house bought in installments to cover expenses.
Through grasping the lives of union members and workers, the grassroots trade union issued a call for donations to join hands in supporting Ms. L.
With the spirit of mutual affection, in a short time, the entire company and employees at 4 workshops raised more than 222 million VND. Representatives of the company and the union handed over the donated money to Ms. L. Hopefully, this support will help the family have more funds and add strength for Ms. L to overcome illness and return to work at the factory soon.
