Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan said that the conference to thoroughly grasp the Resolution of the 11th Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress and the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress on the morning of July 3 had 70 bridge points connecting with the central bridge point with 23,784 delegates attending; at the central bridge point (Hanoi) there were 450 delegates. The conference showed the spirit of seriousness in studying and thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the 11th Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress and the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
In the spirit of saying less and doing more, the conference focused on core contents, concretized in the action program, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized the groups of issues:
Regarding studying, propagating and thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, today's conference has been implemented very specifically. In the near future, trade unions of provinces, cities, and central industry trade unions will continue to study, study, and thoroughly grasp the Resolution throughout the system to grassroots trade unions and union members and workers.
Regarding the Action Program and plan to implement the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, it will be implemented in the direction of integrating the Action Program of the 14th Party Congress Resolution, the 11th Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress Resolution and the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress Resolution.
In July 2026, trade union levels must issue their plans and action programs.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan added that this content is also being implemented very urgently to complete 2 tasks directed by the Standing Secretary of the Secretariat: Preliminary review of 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW on renovating the organization and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation and summary of 10 years of Directive 52 on improving the spiritual life of workers and laborers.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan proposed that trade union levels exercise the right to inspect, examine, and supervise employers and activities related to employees.
According to the Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in the coming time, the trade union organization will clearly define the tasks and describe the work of each level of trade union (Central, provincial, industry trade union, industrial park trade union, grassroots trade union).
Communication about trade union organizations needs to pay more attention to substantive activities such as trade unions participating in building collective labor agreements, suing businesses owing social insurance debts or negotiating better benefits for employees... so that society can see the true nature of the work that the Trade Union organization is doing.
Regarding training and fostering trade union officials, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will develop a framework program for training trade union officials according to job positions. Pay special attention to training trade union officials in communes, wards, and special zones.
Currently, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is developing 2 handbooks: Work handbook for commune, ward, and special zone trade union presidents and handbook on building collective labor agreements.
