On the afternoon of December 18, the Veterans Association of Bao Loc city (Lam Dong province) in coordination with sponsors and local authorities visited and handed over the house "Comradely affection" to member Ha Tuan Manh (72 years old), residing in Loc Tien ward.
Mr. Ha Tuan Manh’s family is one of the poorest in the locality. Previously, Mr. Manh’s family lived in a seriously degraded house.
Furthermore, Mr. Manh is old and was exposed to toxic chemicals during the war against America, so his health is poor and he has no income to build a new house.
Through the connection of the Veterans Association of Bao Loc city, Mr. Manh was able to build a new house with an area of 100 square meters, with a total cost of nearly 400 million VND.
Of which, Da Nhim – Ham Thuan – Da Mi Hydropower Company supported 100 million VND. The remaining amount was contributed by the family and supported by some related units.
The leader of the Veterans Association of Bao Loc city shared: "The call for support to build "Comradely Love" houses is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning. Thereby, it demonstrates the care and concern of the Veterans Association at all levels for the families of members with difficult housing circumstances."
The house was completed and put into use, which was a great motivation for Mr. Manh's family to overcome difficulties and gradually stabilize their lives.
