The project to resettle 35 households in At Thuong village, Minh Xuan commune, Luc Yen district (where the landslide caused by storm No. 3 occurred, killing 9 people), was started on November 18 on a hill with an area of over 2.3 hectares, about 500 meters from the old village.

The resettlement area of At Thuong village is divided into 2 phases. In phase 1, Military Region 2 will support Yen Bai province to invest in the construction of a resettlement project for 35 households. In phase 2, Luc Yen district will support land for people to build houses.

35 stilt houses in the At Thuong village reconstruction area were built at level IV with typical Tay ethnic stilt house architecture, with a construction area of about 72 m2 and a usable area of 144 m2. The construction cost of each house is about 650 million VND from the Ministry of National Defense's Fund for the Poor.

It is known that, in addition to the resettlement area of At Thuong village, the Ministry of National Defense has supported funding to build 60 houses with typical Mong ethnic style in Ky Quan San village (Bat Xat district, Lao Cai). The Military Region 2 Command was assigned to implement the construction, ensuring the progress and quality of the project.
