The delegation led by Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hai Binh - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine, together with leaders of the Propaganda Department of the Hai Phong City Party Committee and the City Labor Federation visited and wished a Happy New Year to workers of 4 units: AMECC Construction Mechanical Joint Stock Company; Ohsung Vina Company Limited (Trang Due Industrial Park); Hai Phong Urban Environment Company Limited and Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company.
At the enterprises, the delegation heard information about production and business situation, employment, income as well as Tet care for employees of the enterprises.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Le Hai Binh sent New Year greetings to the collective leaders, cadres, union members and workers of the units. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, the city's Trade Unions at all levels as well as business leaders would continue to pay attention to and care for the lives and jobs of workers, ensuring better income and higher benefits so that workers can feel secure in their long-term commitment and actively contribute to the development of the units, businesses and the city.
On this occasion, the delegation presented 170 gifts, each worth 1,300,000 VND (including 1 million in cash and 300,000 VND in gifts) to workers and laborers in difficult circumstances at 4 enterprises.
Receiving a gift on the last day of the year, Ms. Tran Thi Uyen - a worker at Ngo Quyen 2 Enterprise, Hai Phong Urban Environment Company Limited, was very emotional. Ms. Uyen's husband passed away early, leaving her alone to raise two children. After more than 20 years of working as an environmental worker, Ms. Uyen rarely celebrated New Year's Eve with her family. Ms. Uyen's two children have gradually gotten used to their mother being away from home at the important moment of the new year.
"Because of the nature of our work, we have to work through Tet, so sometimes, female environmental workers feel a bit sad. However, thanks to the attention of business leaders and trade unions at all levels, we have a full Tet holiday, are well taken care of, and can work with peace of mind," said Ms. Uyen.
