On May 21, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) said that immediately after grasping information about the labor accident that occurred at a stone mine in Cam Tu commune, killing 3 workers, representatives of the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (MTTQ) of Thanh Hoa province and the Provincial Labor Federation directly went to the scene, visited and encouraged the affected families.

Here, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Provincial Labor Federation presented support to the relatives of the victims, and expressed their wish that the families would soon overcome this pain and loss.
Previously, at about 5 pm on May 20, a serious landslide occurred at the foot of a mountain belonging to the stone mining area of Anh Tuan Co., Ltd., Cam Tu commune, Thanh Hoa province.
At the time of the incident, 3 workers, all residing in Lao Cai province, were working at the foot of the rocky mountain when a large amount of soil and rocks suddenly slid down from above. The incident caused one victim to be thrown out and die on the spot, and the other 2 victims went missing.
Immediately after the landslide occurred, on the night of May 20 and morning of May 21, functional forces mobilized fire prevention and fighting, rescue, military personnel and many specialized vehicles and machinery to search for victims. Professional dogs, flycams and infrared heat sources detectors were also used to support access to the scene.
By the morning of May 21, the bodies of the 2 missing victims had been found by functional forces. The cause of the incident is currently being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
