On September 22, Mr. Tran Ngoc Phuc - Chairman of the Trade Union of Mui Ne ward, Lam Dong province - said that the unit manages 3 more grassroots trade unions just established in September. These businesses operate in the resort and accommodation sectors.
The three newly established grassroots trade unions include: Grassroots Trade Union of Sand Hill Mui Ne Tourism Service Trading Co., Ltd. with 40 members; Grassroots Trade Union of Suoi Hong Tourism Co., Ltd. with 26 members and Grassroots Trade Union of Allezboo Joint Stock Company with 56 members.
At the establishment announcement ceremonies, the Chairman of the Mui Ne Ward Trade Union attended, presented decisions and assigned tasks to the Executive Committees of grassroots trade unions.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Phuc requested the Executive Committees to soon complete operating regulations and promote the role of representing workers. Grassroots trade unions are also required to coordinate with businesses to implement emulation movements and organize activities to care for the lives of union members and workers.
The continuous establishment of grassroots trade unions at tourism businesses contributes to expanding the network of trade union organizations, increasing the rate of gathering workers and creating more representative focal points, taking care of union members' rights.
Over the past time, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation has continuously issued decisions to establish grassroots trade unions at enterprises. This is one of the activities to expand the Trade Union organization in the enterprise sector, while strengthening the presence of employee representative organizations at the grassroots level.
