On June 24, the Labor Federation (LDF) of Quang Ngai province held a ceremony to announce the decision to admit union members and establish the grassroots trade union of Kim Son Co., Ltd. at Tinh An Tay Craft Village Industrial Cluster.
Kim Son Co., Ltd. operates in the field of wood chip production and processing. At the ceremony, the Provincial Labor Federation announced and awarded decisions recognizing 21 workers working at the company as union members.
The grassroots trade union of Kim Son Co., Ltd. is directly under the Provincial Labor Federation, has legal status, and performs tasks and powers according to the provisions of law and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
The Provincial Labor Federation also awarded a decision recognizing the Executive Committee of the first grassroots Trade Union, term 2026 - 2030. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao holds the position of Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Kim Son Co., Ltd.
The establishment of grassroots trade unions at enterprises with specific production characteristics contributes to ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of workers, while promoting the development of collective labor agreements and improving welfare regimes for union members and workers.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation presented 3 gifts, each worth 1 million VND in cash, to 3 union members and workers in difficult circumstances of the company.
