On July 28, Thu Dau Mot Ward Trade Union held a meeting to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026).
Before the program took place, the delegates respectfully offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh at the Traditional House of the ward, expressing their gratitude to the beloved leader of the nation, and at the same time expressing their determination to continue to promote revolutionary traditions and build an increasingly strong Trade Union organization.
At the meeting, delegates reviewed the 97-year journey of construction and development of the Vietnam Trade Union, affirming the role of the Trade Union organization in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers, contributing to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the Trade Union of Thu Dau Mot Ward summarized and awarded prizes for the online contest "97 years steadfastly under the Party flag"; awarded "Trade Union Electronic Bookcase" to grassroots trade unions; awarded scholarships from CEP Microfinance Organization; and at the same time, expressed gratitude to former members of the Executive Committee, former members of the Ward Trade Union Inspection Committee through various periods.
Notably, at the program, the Trade Union of Thu Dau Mot ward announced and awarded decisions to establish 8 new grassroots trade unions with over 200 union members.
Thu Dau Mot Ward Trade Union said that the establishment of new grassroots trade unions is the result of propaganda and mobilization to develop Trade Union organizations in enterprises, continuing to expand the Trade Union network in the ward. This is an important foundation to improve the effectiveness of caring for, representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, and at the same time building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
