At the conference, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation announced the decision to establish grassroots trade unions for 5 units including the Trade Union of Goodthink Packaging Co., Ltd., Hung Thinh Phat Trading and Production Co., Ltd., Ngoc Quynh Phat Trade Development Co., Ltd., Hoa Binh Confectionery Production Co., Ltd. and OJIN Precision Metal Co., Ltd.; admitting 119 workers at companies who are Trade Union members.
Speaking to assign tasks, Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation - proposed that, in the new position, the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union will be an important bridge between workers and businesses and trade union organizations; and at the same time be the core force in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
Immediately after the conference to establish grassroots trade unions, Thien Huong Ward Trade Union guided newly established units to quickly complete regulations and develop operating programs. Along with that, inform union members and workers in new units about programs and activities that Hai Phong City Labor Federation is implementing such as supporting Trade Union Shelter houses, borrowing capital from the Fund to support poor workers and employees; guiding grassroots trade unions to participate in Workers' Month 2026 activities...
On the occasion of Workers' Month, Hai Phong City Labor Federation, Thien Huong Ward Trade Union presented gifts and subsidies to 14 union members and workers in difficult circumstances in Thien Huong ward; awarded the Pickleball Sports Award to the pair winning the Second Prize in the city's women's doubles event and the photo contest "You are the color of March sunshine" (1 A prize, 14 dedication prizes) to contestants of Thien Huong Ward Trade Union.
Also in the afternoon of May 19, the Ward Trade Union organized professional training on trade union work for grassroots trade union officials. The program aims to equip professional knowledge and skills, especially for trade union officials in newly established and newly operating units; thereby contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of trade union activities in the new situation.
