On the morning of May 19, at the Forum "Trade Union members studying and following Uncle Ho in emulation for good labor, high productivity, and good income", Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of VNPT Trade Union - presented a paper with the theme "Applying Ho Chi Minh's ideology on patriotic emulation, promoting the role of Trade Unions in promoting the movement for good labor, high productivity, and income for workers".
Speaking at the forum, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan said that VNPT Trade Union currently represents more than 40,000 trade union members and employees at Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group.
The movement "Good labor, creative labor, high productivity, good income" is identified as a key task, of profound significance for trade union organizations and workers throughout the system.
According to Mr. Tuan, in the context of the country entering the digital age, that ideology continues to carry profound contemporary value, especially for the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
At VNPT, the application of Ho Chi Minh's ideology on patriotic emulation is of particular importance in the context that the entire Group is strongly transforming from the traditional telecommunications enterprise model (Telco) to the digital technology group (TechCo).
In that journey, the VNPT Trade Union clearly identified that: workers are the center; emulation movements are the driving force for development; and trade union organizations must be the pioneering force in creating, leading and accompanying.
Patriotic emulation at VNPT today is not only limited to traditional production labor, but is strongly shifting to innovation emulation, digital transformation emulation, technology mastery emulation and digital value creation emulation for society. The "VNPT Smile" movement is imbued with VNPT cultural identity, has been maintained persistently for many years and has received positive responses from a large number of union members and workers. The movement "Contributing good ideas - Joining hands to improve quality" has strongly promoted the collective intelligence of the workforce with thousands of initiatives and solutions to improve network and service quality.
Many initiatives from the movement have contributed to helping VNPT win prestigious awards for service quality, digital transformation at home and abroad, affirming its pioneering capacity in technology, quality and management.
In particular, the "Digital Soldier" movement has become a symbol of the pioneering spirit, bravery and aspiration to contribute of VNPT workers in the journey of transition from Telco to TechCo.
Tens of thousands of union members and workers have directly participated in developing digital platforms to serve digital government, digital economy, and digital society; and at the same time spread digital skills and digital thinking to the community and localities where they reside.

The movement "Enhancing customer experience" with the view of putting customers at the center; improving touch points so that customers have the best service experience; improving customer care; optimizing business efficiency and consolidating competitive position in the market.
The "9th Hour" movement with the goal of spending an hour each week on studying, improving professional qualifications and skills has gradually formed a lifelong learning culture throughout the Group; clearly expressing the consistent viewpoint of the Trade Union organization in the transformation journey, all workers are given conditions to develop, so that no one is left behind due to the impact of technology...
The highlight throughout VNPT's emulation movements is not only stopping at the goal of improving productivity and labor efficiency but also focusing on building comprehensive workers with knowledge, skills and bravery to adapt to digital transformation.
Stemming from Ho Chi Minh's ideology of comprehensive care for people, the VNPT Trade Union determined: Emulation is not only to increase labor productivity, but more deeply to improve the quality of life, build a happy working environment and develop people comprehensively.
Therefore, the VNPT Trade Union has deployed surveys and assessments of the Employee Happiness Index throughout the group based on criteria: on employment, income, working conditions and labor relations at the workplace; on family-social relationships and personal life.
From there, build solutions to gradually improve the VNPT employee happiness index as a modern and humane management tool. The survey results in 2024 reaching 7.38/10 points have affirmed the strong, methodical and humane efforts of the VNPT Trade Union in taking employee happiness as a measure of operational quality" - Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan affirmed.
