Bau Bang is one of the communes that are developing industry in Ho Chi Minh City after the reign of the boss.
Reporting to the working group, Mr. Luu The Thuan - Chairman of the Bau Bang Commune Trade Union said that Bau Bang Commune was established and put into operation from July 1, 2025 on the basis of maintaining the status quo of 7/8 neighborhoods of Lai Uyen town, old Bau Bang district.
Currently, there are 1,068 enterprises operating in the commune. Of which, there are 199 FDI enterprises and 869 domestic enterprises. The enterprises are headquartered in 3 industrial parks including Bau Bang, Bau Bang Industrial Park expansion and part of Cay Truong Industrial Park.

Currently, Bau Bang commune has 92 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) with about 21,692 union members.
Of which, the number of grassroots trade unions in industrial parks is 74 units (80%) with about 19,000 union members (88%). The remaining number is 18 grassroots trade unions (20%) with nearly 2,600 union members outside industrial parks (12%).
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tan Dat - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation acknowledged the efforts from the grassroots. At the same time, they expressed their appreciation for the active coordination of the Party Committee and the Fatherland Front in the locality.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Dat emphasized the increasingly important role of the Trade Union organization in the new context. Orient some key contents for local trade unions to operate in the coming time.

In particular, Mr. Nguyen Tan Dat suggested paying attention to and coordinating the survey to establish grassroots trade unions. Pay attention to workers who are freelance workers, moving towards establishing trade unions (hammocks, lottery tickets)...
