Expected spiritual feast of union members and workers
These days, the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union is urgently preparing for the opening program of Workers' Month 2025 scheduled to take place on April 20 at VSIP Industrial Park.
According to Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy Ha, Chairwoman of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union, the program is a series of large-scale activities, expected to attract thousands of workers to participate.
Notable as the "5,000 Steps of Happiness" race with more than 2,000 registered workers, the Flashmob 2025 Dance Co-C performance Program with the participation of 56 grassroots unions, the "Red Drops Sharing" blood donation festival with more than 600 workers participating...
The opening event of Workers' Month is being carefully prepared, aiming to bring workers a vibrant spiritual feast. Thereby, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, attracting workers to join the Trade Union organization, aiming for the goal of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union admitting at least 3,000 new union members in the 2025 Workers' Month.
At the city level, the outstanding activity in Workers' Month 2025 is "Workers' Day". The festival takes place over 2 days with a series of cultural and sports activities such as the Collective Running Competition associated with the launch of the "Online Walking and Running" Contest, live and online physical performance, employee swimming competition, flower arranging competition, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation - said that the activities at the festival are expected to attract tens of thousands of workers to participate, truly a cultural and spiritual feast for workers.
The City Labor Federation directs units to base on specific characteristics and actual situations to organize appropriate activities, attract a large number of union members to participate, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere in Workers' Month 2025.
Promoting emulation movements during Workers' Month
The exciting competitive atmosphere of Workers' Month is spread by Hai Phong City Trade Unions at all levels in work, production labor at each agency, unit, and enterprise. In particular, the goal is to encourage workers in the city to actively study, improve their qualifications, skills, change careers, approach modern labor trends, adapt to the context of international integration and the 4th industrial revolution.
The whole city strives to have at least 100 initiatives and solutions proposed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to award the Creative Labor Certificate, of which at least 60 initiatives and solutions are recognized; 50 outstanding employees are awarded certificates of merit for good labor.
On the side of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union, during the Workers' Month, the unit implemented the program "Higher productivity - Better benefits" to grassroots trade unions.
Accordingly, grassroots trade unions coordinate with employers to develop and implement a plan to implement the program "Higher productivity - Better benefits" with specific content and policies to encourage union members and employees with outstanding labor productivity in the period from March to May 2025; promptly reward employees with initiatives that bring high value.
In addition, activities to care for the lives and jobs of workers have also been focused on by the Trade Unions at all levels. During the month, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation awarded support funds to build and repair 30 "Union Shelters" for union members in difficult circumstances; provided subsidies to 2,000 workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 1.5 million VND.
For workers in industrial parks, the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union is reviewing and making a list of gifts and subsidies for union members in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses... with a total of 4,000 gifts. Thereby, creating the attention of the whole society, especially employers and authorities at all levels, to the jobs and lives of employees.
