The 2025 Workers' Month, implemented by the Tra Vinh Provincial Federation of Labor with the theme "Vietnamese Workers Pioneering to enter a new era", is not only an annual event but also an opportunity for trade unions at all levels to fulfill their function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
Ms. Tran Thi Kim Chung - President of the Tra Vinh Provincial Federation of Labor - hopes that this theme will penetrate deeply into the awareness and actions of each union member and employee, motivating them to constantly innovate, overcome challenges and contribute to the overall development of the province.
During the month, many practical activities will be organized, aiming to attract a large number of union members and workers to participate.
According to Ms. Chung, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized a meeting, contact and dialogue program between provincial leaders and union members and workers. Organize the "Humanitarian Blood Donation Festival" with the theme "Red Drops Sharing" to spread beautiful and useful actions and lifestyles to the community of union members and workers. These two activities are expected to be implemented in early May 2025.
Coordinate the organization of the "Union Meal" Program at 1 enterprise. The Policy and Law Committee coordinated with the Propaganda and Women's Union to advise the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation to select and implement the "Creative Labor Festival" at a business. These two activities are expected to take place in mid-May 2025.
"At the launching ceremony of Workers' Month, the Provincial Federation of Labor will give 4,000 gifts (each gift worth 500,000 VND); 300 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances; Award 3 "Union Shelters"; Award 20 - 30 scholarships to children of union members in difficult circumstances;....", the Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor added.
Mr. Cao Huu Trong Bac - Chairman of the Trade Union of Lefaso Tra Vinh Industrial Investment & Production Joint Stock Company - said that the company strongly responded to the Provincial Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month, aiming to reduce labor accidents, while expressing confidence in the development of the working class.
"We are committed to widely implementing measures to ensure safety at the workplace, contributing to the common goals of the province, while arousing the pioneering spirit of workers in the new era," Mr. Bac added.
At My Phong Leather Shoes Company Limited, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam - Chairman of the company's Trade Union - said that the unit organized a Southern folk cake decoration contest on the occasion of Chol Chnam Thmay, creating a joyful and cohesive atmosphere.
According to Mr. Nam, the company also pays special attention to occupational safety and hygiene. This Workers' Month is an opportunity for the company to increase propaganda, inspection and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
