In particular, Lao Dong Newspaper has coordinated with the Vietnam Bar Federation to organize a legal advice program for workers broadcast on the Media section of Lao Dong Newspaper weekly. This work has contributed to propagating the law to hundreds of thousands of readers who follow Lao Dong Newspaper, including workers.
Lawyer Hau said that the need for legal advice from people and businesses, including workers, is currently very large. However, actual records at businesses show that many workers are still limited in accessing legal information. Some cases do not fully understand the law, so they violate labor regulations, legal regulations, or do not fully understand their rights and obligations, so their rights are easily violated.
According to lawyer Hau, legal advice to help people and workers gain more legal knowledge is one of the functions and responsibilities of lawyers. This is the social responsibility of lawyers and is stipulated in the Law on Lawyers and the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct for Lawyers.
The legal advice program for thousands of workers is organized by Lao Dong Newspaper in coordination with the Vietnam Bar Federation, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, and is expected to be held on June 21st, which is a very important program. Therefore, the Vietnam Bar Federation has sent nearly 30 experienced lawyers to advise workers through legal situations on salaries, social insurance, health insurance, civil, criminal, family marriage, land, inheritance to answer and directly advise workers. It is expected that Dr., Lawyer Do Ngoc Thinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Bar Federation, will also attend and give a speech at the program.
Strengthening legal shield for workers
According to lawyer Hau, this legal advice program is a very practical activity of the 3 parties to well implement Directive No. 58-CT/TW dated January 10, 2026 of the Secretariat "On strengthening the Party's leadership over propaganda, political, ideological, and legal education for workers in the new situation".
Lawyer Hau also said that the legal advice program for workers is a very practical activity to strengthen the legal shield for workers. This is not just a simple propaganda activity but also has the meaning of accompanying and supporting workers in the process of working, working and living in large cities like Ho Chi Minh City.
When workers understand the law, they will comply with the company's labor regulations, comply with the law, behave appropriately and know how to use legal tools to protect their legitimate rights, thereby limiting unnecessary labor disputes and building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations" - lawyer Hau emphasized.
