Ho Chi Minh City - Students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law perform comedy with legal situations at the Legal Consulting Program for Workers co-organized by Lao Dong Newspaper.

Training efforts

For many days, students in the Intern Court Session Club of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, have been diligently building and practicing a comedy play incorporating legal situations on labor, civil, criminal... to prepare for performance in the Legal Consulting Program for about 3,000 workers organized by Lao Dong Newspaper in coordination with the Vietnam Bar Federation, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, expected to be held at the end of June.

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Nhu Quynh - Head of the Intern Session Club of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law Union - said that when invited to participate in the legal advice program co-organized by Lao Dong Newspaper, they were very happy, but also a little worried because it was the first time performing in front of a very large audience, which were workers. But that worry is also a motivation for them to be more active in building scripts and practicing.

“Club members will have about 5 practice sessions and everyone is trying hard, looking forward to the day to participate in the program. In addition to the joy of contributing to the community, this is also a good opportunity for you to gain more knowledge about the law in the field of labor,” Nhu Quynh said.

Actively participate in activities contributing to society

Master Kim Nguyen Hong Minh - Member of the Standing Committee of the School Youth Union, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Faculty of Criminal Law, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, in charge of the Trainee Court Session Club of the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law - commented that the legal advice program for workers organized by Lao Dong Newspaper in coordination with units is a practical legal education activity, a bridge to bring legal knowledge closer to workers.

Through forms of counseling, situational exchange and legal skits, the program will contribute to helping workers access regulations directly related to their legitimate rights and interests, thereby raising awareness of law compliance and building a culture of respecting the law in life and labor relations.

Therefore, when invited by Lao Dong Newspaper to participate in the program, the students of the club were very happy and enthusiastic. Because participating in the program is a good opportunity for students to apply the knowledge they have learned to practice, practice research skills and propagate law to the community. The school also always encourages students to actively participate in activities to contribute to society, especially programs of dissemination and legal education, because this is an environment that helps them both consolidate professional knowledge and raise awareness of responsibility to society and the profession in the future.

Students have participated in legal advice programs for the community many times, but this is the first time participating in the program at the invitation of Lao Dong Newspaper, so confusion is inevitable in the process of developing scripts, arranging personnel and arranging training time. However, with the spirit of responsibility, proactiveness and enthusiasm of youth, they quickly adapted, striving to complete each content to bring a close, easy-to-understand legal skit with high propaganda value," Master Kim Nguyen Hong Minh emphasized.

Also according to Master Minh, the participation of students not only contributes to the overall success of the program but also spreads the image of dynamic, brave, knowledgeable and always ready to contribute to the community students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. This is also proof of the connection between legal training and social practice, contributing to affirming the role of the school in serving the community and disseminating laws to the people.

The organizers of the Legal Consulting Program for workers said that the comedy performed by students will incorporate legal situations on labor, civil, and criminal matters. The organizers will ask questions and workers participating in the program, if they answer the legal situation correctly, will receive worthy gifts.

At the program, there were also more than 20 lawyers from the Vietnam Bar Federation, trade union officials of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation who were ready to answer and provide free advice to workers' questions related to areas of life such as labor, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, marriage and family, land, inheritance...
