On January 4, information from the Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center said that in 2025, there was a clear shift in the form of labor recruitment.
According to statistics at this center, out of a total of 29,907 businesses participating in recruitment through the job service system, only 7,160 businesses used direct forms (23.9%), while up to 22,747 businesses recruited online (76.1%), more than three times higher than traditional direct forms.
This trend shows that businesses are prioritizing digital platforms to shorten candidate search time, expand access scope and optimize recruitment costs. Online forms are particularly effective for office - information technology - finance - service position groups; while direct recruitment is still necessary for jobs requiring health checks, job interviews or on-the-job trials such as general labor, operations engineering, logistics - warehousing.
According to Ms. Nguyen Van Hanh Thuc - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center - the dominance of online labor recruitment poses the requirement that this center must continue to upgrade the digital connection platform, standardize electronic ho so, assess online skills and strengthen smart recruitment tools to meet the strong digitalization trend of the market.
