Focus on screening
Present at a job fair in November, the atmosphere of searching for personnel was extremely bustling. Dozens of businesses with hundreds of recruitment targets have shown the heat of the labor market when entering the final stage. A common point is that the recruitment demand is easily seen as focusing on positions that require expertise, skills and experience, instead of simply unskilled labor.
Representing Dong Anh Steel Pipe Manufacturing Company Limited, Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Ha - Deputy Head of Human Resources Administration Department - said that the company's current demand is very large. The enterprise plans to recruit about 30 mechanical workers, mainly skilled welders; 5 electromechanical repairmen and 3 quality control (QC) staff. These are all core positions in the production line, requiring candidates to have solid technical expertise.
"Our recruitment demand is very high, the company pays special attention to the screening stage due to the nature of the job that requires high skills, especially for the welder position," Ms. Ha shared.
According to her, the company can immediately recruit about 30-40 employees in this period. The interview and probationary process will be the decisive factor in assessing the actual capacity of candidates, ensuring that the input human resources meet the job requirements.
Similarly, at the recruitment center of Construction Steel structures Joint Stock Company - COMESS, a company specializing in steel structure, the human resource demand is not small. Ms. Huyen - company representative said that the recruitment plan for this period is about 35-40 people. Of which, the largest demand is concentrated in about 30 direct production workers at the factory. In addition, the positions of design engineer, mechanical engineering, and production manager are also urgently needed.
The company maintains direct labor recruitment activities throughout the year. However, the last months of the year are always the period when the market becomes most vibrant, creating favorable conditions for both candidates in seeking new opportunities and businesses in adding quality human resources, Ms. Huyen commented.
Forecast of the labor market at the end of the year
Explaining the excitement of the labor market in the last months of the year, Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center - affirmed that this is an inevitable rule. The fourth quarter is always the golden time for businesses to accelerate, complete signed orders and prepare for skyrocketing consumer demand during the Lunar New Year. This creates a strong driving force, causing a significant increase in the demand for human resources.
According to Mr. Thanh, the processing, manufacturing, mechanical and construction industry groups will have the largest recruitment capacity. "Based on the labor market and the actual needs of businesses, we see that recruitment segments are very diverse. There was a time when businesses focused on unskilled labor, but from now until the end of the year, the clear priority was for qualified and skilled labor, Mr. Thanh analyzed.
To provide maximum support for both businesses and workers, the Hanoi Employment Service Center has been implementing many effective connection solutions. Job fairs are held regularly, combining both in-person and online forms, creating conditions for candidates in many areas to access information.
At exchanges, in addition to direct interviews, workers are also consulted, introduced to free jobs, and provided with market information to make choices that suit their abilities and desires.
