Article 14 of the Law on Public Employees 2025 (effective from July 1, 2026) stipulates the rights of public employees regarding rest and other rights as follows:
1. Be entitled to annual leave, holidays, Tet, private leave, unpaid leave according to the provisions of labor law.
In case due to work requirements, public employees do not use or do not use up the number of annual leave days, they are paid a sum of money for the days without leave according to the internal spending regulations of the unit and in accordance with the unit's financial capacity.
2. Being able to study and conduct scientific research at home and abroad, participate in socio-economic activities, except for activities specified in Clause 7, Article 10 of this Law; in cases of injury or sacrifice while performing duties, they are considered for enjoying regimes and policies like wounded soldiers or are considered for recognition as martyrs according to the provisions of law.
3. Enjoy other rights according to the provisions of law and the provisions of competent authorities.
Thus, from July 1, 2026, in case civil servants are injured or sacrificed while performing their duties, they are considered for enjoying regimes and policies like wounded soldiers or are considered for recognition as martyrs according to the provisions of law.
