On May 20, at a scientific seminar with the theme "Tasks and solutions for developing high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of city development in the new era", Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, emphasized the city's efforts in developing science and technology and improving the quality of human resources.
"In recent times, the city has issued many important and outstanding decisions such as strategic cooperation programs with universities and large research institutes; policies to support technological innovation for businesses, support the development of intellectual property; focus on investing in the creative startup ecosystem and developing innovation centers, training models combined with business practices, institutes - schools; along with specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city."
However, Mr. Le Trung Chinh also frankly acknowledged the existing challenges: "In addition to the achieved results, developing high-quality human resources still faces many difficulties. The professional structure is not really balanced, not keeping up with the global labor market trend; lacking effective linkage between training institutions and businesses; policies to attract and retain talents, especially overseas Vietnamese experts, are still limited."
Therefore, at the seminar, 350 leading experts and scientists focused on in-depth discussions on two main contents: Comprehensive and effective solutions to develop high-quality human resources, meet the diverse development needs of the city in the new context and orient socio-economic development strategies, especially the roadmap for implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW.
According to the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the locality has achieved significant achievements in the field of science and technology and innovation.
