On October 9, Coc Coc announced the Search Trends Report for the third quarter of 2024, recording fluctuations in the search behavior of Vietnamese users.
Typhoon Yagi and the "storm" of the dominant statement
In the third quarter of 2024, the event that attracted the most attention was Typhoon Yagi. Coc Coc users rushed to search for information about the typhoon and the damage caused by natural disasters, with the keywords “Typhoon Yagi” and “Typhoon No. 3” leading the trend.
In addition, the consequences of storms and floods, such as the collapse of Phong Chau bridge and flash floods and landslides, are also of particular concern to users.
Relief activities and financial transparency related to storms and floods also attracted great attention, with the number of searches for the keyword “Vietnam Fatherland Front statement” increasing 190.7 times compared to the previous quarter. This reflects the community’s concern and responsibility in the face of natural disasters, as well as interest in transparency in charitable relief work.

Social media trends have become even more vibrant with phrases like “if you’re scared, go home” and “the top of the roof is fluttering.” These are slang words originating from popular cultural events, conveying the spirit of young people: freedom, individuality and not afraid to express themselves.
Sports: Pickleball and international events take over the airwaves
