Imagine Cup is the world's leading prestigious technology competition for students who want to leverage the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to explore the limits of creativity.
All participants will have access to leading AI services, Azure grants with fewer restrictions, and essential tools to rapidly develop their ideas through Founders Hub. With Azure AI Studio, participants can develop AI solutions that fit their needs. Leading models such as OpenAI GPT-4o, Microsoft Research Phi-3, and Meta’s Llama 3.1 will give participants the technological power to develop breakthrough AI solutions.
In addition, candidates will also be connected to a network of advisors - who provide in-depth advice and guidance to overcome business challenges as well as perfect product presentations through Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub. In addition, Azure Pairing sessions with Azure AI engineers will help candidates update the latest AI trends, optimize infrastructure, save operating costs, and many other benefits.
In particular, contestants will be able to join a global network of founders and leaders to expand their networking opportunities and increase their international influence. Finalists will have the opportunity to attend Microsoft Build, where contestants can present their AI solutions, increase global recognition and build valuable relationships.
The winning team will receive $100,000 and an exclusive mentoring session with Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella. The two runners-up will each receive $25,000.
The deadline for submitting products along with presentations, explainer videos, and demos that demonstrate the product's features and impact is January 22, 2025. The semi-finals will take place in March 2025, and the world finals will be held in May 2025.
In Vietnam, the Imagine Cup 2025 competition will be co-organized by InterEDU Education Organization in collaboration with Van Lang University (Ho Chi Minh City), Center for Research and Training in Microchip Design and Artificial Intelligence (Da Nang) and VinUni University (Hanoi), with the support of Microsoft Vietnam.
Imagine Cup 2025 Vietnam includes completely free training and support activities for competing teams to exploit Microsoft Azure resources, participate in the Microsoft for Start-up Founders Hub and Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program, as well as startup mentoring sessions from lecturers and experts.
