Artificial intelligence technology company Anthropic is said to be preparing to record its first quarter of operating profit since its establishment.

According to information published by The Wall Street Journal, the company shared with investors that second-quarter revenue could more than double, to about 10.9 billion USD.

These financial figures were revealed during the process of Anthropic conducting a new funding round.

If the above goal is achieved, this will be a remarkable milestone for the AI company that is emerging as one of OpenAI's biggest competitors.

However, according to the report, Anthropic may not maintain a profitable state for the whole year because AI computing costs are still very high.

In the past time, chatbot Claude of Anthropic has increasingly attracted the attention of many users and businesses, especially in the professional customer group.

The company is also expanding into many new segments, including services for small businesses and AI tools for the legal profession.

Information about Anthropic's profitability appeared at the same time as rumors that OpenAI is preparing steps for a future IPO.

However, Anthropic has not yet made official comments on this information.
