Many concerns about using AI
Currently, many people use AI to replace most daily tasks such as creating works, writing reports, analyzing data, planning, etc. However, besides the utilities that AI brings, the innocent use of AI also has many potential risks.
Hoang Thi Minh Huyen, who is currently an employee at an electronic device store in Thuy Nguyen city (Hai Phong), said that she often uses AI to create statistics boards as well as make customer care plans, so she has to store the entire customer list on an application using AI.
Less than a month later, according to the reflection, close customers of the store all received invited calls from other units, so Huyen was worried that her data had been stolen.
Sharing the same concern about using AI applications, Ms. Lan Huong (Da Nang) said that she discovered that her personal data was being disseminated when she found her image on social networking sites.
"I often use AI tools to edit photos. Once, because I wanted to participate in the trend of changing outfits on social networks, I downloaded and used AI applications to support photo editing. After finishing the edit, I found it unsightly so I did not post it.
However, just a few days later, while watching information on social networks, I accidentally saw an image of myself and immediately had to remove the application. After that incident, I was extremely worried because I could have other information stolen from my phone, because most of the AI applications I was using required licenses to access personal data in my phone" - Ms. Huong informed.

Use AI safely
AI is gradually becoming an indispensable "digital assistant" in learning, work and content creation. However, to use AI effectively and safely, Mr. Dao Trung Thanh - Deputy Director of the Institute of Blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence said that users should consider AI as a support tool, not a replacement.
"Each user using AI needs to have critical thinking and the ability to verify information, then make a decision on which source of information to use for accuracy. Therefore, we must still be the one to make the final decision, not rely on all the results given by AI.
In addition, learn to ask questions correctly ( Prompt engineering) for AI because the results AI creates depend a lot on how you interact with it. Users need to constantly update and learn because AI develops very quickly. Understanding new tools and how to use them will help you save time, increase productivity, and not be outdated" - Mr. Thanh shared.
Regarding information security when using AI applications, the Deputy Director of the Blockchain Institute of Technology and Artificial Intelligence said that for content creation applications or virtual assistants, many users will have to provide personal data such as text, images, voice, etc. This makes many people worry about security.
In fact, AI does not automatically collect data, but depends on how the application is designed. Some tools can record user content to improve model quality, but there are also platforms that commit not to store or use personal data such as no history mode or AI running locally on personal computers (on-device AI). Therefore, users should carefully read the privacy policy of the AI application before using it and not enter sensitive information such as passwords and customer data.
If used in business, you should choose platforms with clear security certificates, which can be customized or deployed internally to better control data. Finally, it is necessary to understand that security is not only the job of technology providers, but also the responsibility of each user when interacting with AI. "Digital safety starts from the habit of smart and knowledgeable use" - Mr. Thanh emphasized.
