This feature will help users easily create photos based on personal data more easily. Personalized intelligence is currently being deployed for Nano Banana and Google Photos for all qualified users in the US.
Previously, Google introduced this feature in the spring of this year but only for registrants of AI Pro and AI Ultra packages. With the new extension, users can allow Gemini to access data from Google services such as Gmail and Google Photos, from which AI will take advantage of this information to create or edit images on demand.
Thanks to the ability to exploit personal data, Gemini can understand requests related to users, friends or family members faster, making the image creation process more accurate and natural.
However, Google also sets some age limits. The photo creation and editing feature is only available to personal account users aged 18 and over. Meanwhile, people aged 13 and over can use the photo creation feature, but are not allowed to edit.
Google said this expansion is to help Gemini better understand the personal context of users when creating photos, and promises to bring a more visual and convenient AI experience in the near future.
