On the first day of opening for sale, the atmosphere at iPhone sales points in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and some localities was quite lively. Thousands of customers came to receive the device in the morning, of which iPhone 18 Pro Max was chosen by many people.
According to statistics from retail systems, the 256GB version of iPhone 18 Pro Max is being ordered the most. Data from one system shows that iPhone 18 Pro Max accounts for 87% of total orders, while iPhone 18 Pro accounts for 13%. The 256GB capacity version is chosen the most with a rate of 91%. In addition, the percentage of customers using iPhones who need to upgrade and deposit 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max generations accounts for more than 50%.
Mr. Doan Viet Dung, General Director of Hesman Group (owner of the ShopDunk retail system), said that users in Vietnam currently consider their actual usage needs more carefully instead of just running after the highest version.
Besides the machine version and capacity, new colors also create attraction in this year's sales opening. Burgundy red and Ice Blue are in the color group of iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max chosen by many people. Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, media representative of CellphoneS, said that these are also two prominent colors in the pre-order volume at the system.

Vietnam is in the first market group to open for sale iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, along with more than 60 countries and territories around the world. Unlike previous years, this year Vietnamese users do not queue from midnight to receive iPhones. In Vietnam, iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are priced from 38.99 million and 41.99 million VND respectively for the 256GB version. This price is about 4 million VND higher than the predecessor.
In terms of configuration, iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are equipped with a new 48 MP main camera with changed aperture, the most advanced camera system Apple has ever developed. The machine uses A20 Pro chip with many upgrades in battery life and performance.
In Vietnam, the rapid increase in pre-orders put pressure on the supply of some versions right in the first batch. On Apple's online store in Vietnam, the delivery time for some iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max configurations has lasted about 3-4 weeks. Shortages often appear in the early stages when demand for new colors exceeds the allocated quantity of devices. Supply pressure is expected to gradually decrease as subsequent batches of goods arrive in Vietnam.
