Three new tools integrated in Reddit Pro's Links section include: detailed statistics on where the article is shared with views, votes and clicks; the ability to synchronize RSS sources to share content directly and suggest potential communities to post with artificial intelligence.
Reddit said it has conducted internal testing with a number of newspapers and is now inviting other units to participate in the testing phase.
In addition, Reddit also upgraded the user's reading experience. Instead of having to leave the article to comment, just squeeze it up to open the discussion framework.
This move shows that Reddit is gradually specializing to attract more legitimate sources, while improving the search and discussion experience for users.
If used well, press agencies can see Reddit as a new distribution and measurement channel for effectiveness, alongside traditional social networks.
