Unique and sophisticated design
At the product introduction, the Tesla Semi truck appeared with smooth lines. When compared to internal combustion engine trucks, it is clear that Tesla's truck is more compact, with large panels covering the internal electric motor.
Elon Musk introduces outstanding features of Tesla Semi
Accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5 seconds
Tesla Semi is the largest electric truck ever built. This car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5 seconds, accelerating extremely quickly compared to trucks using diesel engines.
The Tesla Semi can also accelerate from 0-100 km/h when pulling a 36,287 kg cargo box (the largest load capacity) in just 20 seconds. It can run at a speed of 105 km/h compared to diesel heavy trucks with a maximum speed of only about 72 km/h.
Comfortable and luxurious interior
The chair in the cockpit is rated as a steam to bring the driver forward, compared to other trucks. The driver's seat is placed in the middle, right behind and on the right there is two seats for passengers to accompany. Inside the spacious cockpit, it is possible to walk - this Tesla tried to do after consulting with other truck drivers. The car does not have a sleeping place, but maybe in the future, Tesla will add more. The design of the car makes its focus lower than other gasoline vehicles. According to the assessment, this may help the car more stable when running at high speed.
Integrating advanced technology to support safe driving
Two screens are installed on both sides of the steering wheel. The left side is used to control the vehicle's functions, with functions to control the rear body. The right one to see the map, control the radio. Tesla promises that in the future, the car will have more functions, through software updates. These two screens also play the role of two rearview mirrors of the vehicle, through two cameras observing both sides of the vehicle. Tesla says it will also be part of the autistic driving system Autopilot in the future. This makes it easier to sit in the middle of a vehicle.
Surveillance cameras deployed around the vehicle will try to remove blind spots and help detect obstructions, warn the driver and operate automatically with potential risks. Tesla has also integrated the upgraded Autopilot features on Semi. This system will activate emergency brakes, avoid lane departure and lane change warnings to help vehicles run on the expressway more safely.
