On April 10, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thao - Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of M'Drak District (Dak Lak Province) - confirmed: "The District People's Committee has sent a report to the Provincial People's Committee on resolving the existing problems and problems related to the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway project passing through the area".
The authorities determined that in the above project, Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company (Deo Ca Company) has constructed outside the boundary of site clearance.
The unit has constructed on the land used by Mr. Nguyen Van Thoi (residing in Ea Kar knop town, Ea Kar district) in Cu San commune, M'Drak district, with a total area of about 1ha.
After receiving the complaint from Mr. Thoi's family, the District People's Committee held a meeting to discuss a solution to the incident.
Up to now, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has issued Decision No. 539/QD-UBND dated March 10, 2025 approving the adjustment of land use planning until 2030 for M'Drak district.
Of which, an additional 12.97ha is added to serve the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway project.
On that basis, the People's Committee of Cu San commune is preparing a compensation, support and site clearance plan for the area constructed by Deo Ca Company on Mr. Thoi's land. This is to ensure compensation payment in accordance with current regulations.
According to the People's Committee of M'Drak district, Deo Ca Company and Mr. Thoi are in the process of coordinating and agreeing to ensure the construction progress of the project - which is an urgent project, a national key. In case of no consensus, the case will be handled in accordance with legal procedures.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper received a complaint from Mr. Nguyen Van Thoi (residing in residential group 1, Ea Kar knop town, Ea Kar district) regarding the contractor's construction outside the boundary of the project's site clearance.
Mr. Thoi requested the authorities and businesses to promptly take drastic measures to protect the rights of the family, while avoiding negative impacts on the construction progress of the key project.
