Need for affordable, affordable AI solutions
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association commented that AI is creating a huge change in the production and corporate governance model. This technology allows businesses to improve operational efficiency, optimize processes and increase interaction with customers at both input and output.
However, what makes many businesses " roll" is that the majority of units in Ho Chi Minh City are in the small and medium group, with limited capital in financial resources. "The problem is not whether we want it or not, but the application is so effective that it is suitable for payment capacity," said Mr. Hoa.
From that reality, Mr. Hoa suggested that technology enterprises should build a shared AI solution model, capable of sharing costs between many parties, while allowing flexible monthly or annual fees to reduce financial pressure. More importantly, it is necessary to create a mechanism to connect solution providers, application businesses and input-output partners in the value chain, thereby promoting coordination and sharing benefits.
Creating a friendly, flexible, and well-oriented technology ecosystem will help businesses become more confident in the transformation process. In that context, digital transformation centers play an important role as a bridge, helping businesses access technology from the first steps.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center, many businesses are currently "afraid" of AI because they do not fully understand the specific effectiveness or are afraid of risks when implementing. He said that in the near future, a large number of business households will convert into enterprises. This group of subjects needs to have easy-to-reach, simple, and practical AI solutions to standardize operating models and optimize productivity.
The Center is promoting the development of AI solutions suitable to the needs and characteristics of Ho Chi Minh City businesses. We hope to help newly converted units to be able to apply the technology in a systematic and effective manner, said Mr. Hoa.
dare to do to overcome challenges
However, not all AI applications bring positive results from the start. Mr. Le Huu Nghia - Director of Le Thanh Trading - Construction Company Limited shared a real case, when businesses experimented with using AI in the hotel booking system, revenue suddenly decreased by 50%. The reason is that customers entered inaccurate data, spelled incorrectly, or asked unclear questions, causing AI to give incorrect feedback and losing the trust of users.
"This situation raises the question of whether businesses dare to apply technology during difficult times or not? And can we overcome the initial obstacles to continue developing?" Mr. Nghia raised the issue. However, he believes that AI is a news story, a special concern that businesses cannot stay on the sidelines. The problem is to choose the right time, model and roadmap for effective application.
From the side of technology enterprises, Mr. Ha Than - General Director of Lac Viet Informatics Joint Stock Company recommended that small enterprises should start with simple AI applications such as customer service chatbots, automatically sending quotations or receiving feedback. When familiar with technology and seeing its effectiveness, businesses can gradually upgrade to more complex applications such as big data analysis, language processing, images or videos.
