MIS Talent is an academic competition organized by the Faculty of Management Information Systems, School of Technology, National Economics University, to encourage students to proactively approach and propose solutions to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize resource management activities in businesses - an increasingly urgent need in practice.
MIS Talent was developed from the MIS Project competition organized by the Faculty of Informatics and Economics and the Digital Economics Student Talent Search competition organized by the Institute of Information Technology and Digital Economics.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet - Head of the Department of Management Information systems shared that the contest is an academic and applicable playground for students from universities, academies and colleges across the country.
The organizing committee hopes to create an environment for students to research and simulate solutions close to practical needs in businesses, where there is high demand for applications to save costs and optimize efficiency.
"The new point of the contest is to create cohesion and connection between majors. When participating in the competition, students will realize that technology is not dry at all, management is not rigid... If they are both passionate about technology and love business, MIS will be the optimal choice for them Ms. Tuyet shared.
Dr. Nguyen Minh Ngoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology and Digital Transformation, Ministry of Finance acknowledged that in the context of strong digital transformation across the country, the competition will be an opportunity for students to learn, access, apply, and optimize AI in business management and operations.
Affirming that the student generation will be the future owners of the system of state agencies and enterprises, and the driving force for the country's development, Mr. Ngoc hopes that the contest will be a useful playground to find real talents.
The contestants participated in the competition as a team. Each team has 3 - 4 people. The exam is a multiple-choice test combined with practical situation handling.
The Organizing Committee accepts applications from June 10 to June 29. The final night is scheduled for August 20.
In the preliminary round, the teams will have to do a multiple-choice test on the online platform browser and perform a live video (3-5 minutes) to answer questions from the Organizing Committee.
The 10 best teams will be selected for the Final round and then the 4 teams will continue to the final round.
In the final round, the teams will participate in 3 professional training sessions to help the teams gain more practical knowledge from speakers and reputable businesses in the market to better improve their team's work.
The prize structure of the contest includes: 1 Champion; 1 Runner-up and 2 Consuls.
