At the same time, the city police are implementing four surveillance camera projects with about 3,700 cameras integrated with AI to improve the effectiveness of ensuring security and order and traffic management and operation.
Together with the police force across the country, Hanoi City Police focuses resources on developing digital infrastructure, digital platforms, enhancing security, information security, network security and protecting State secrets in the digital transformation process. At the same time, Hanoi City Police also promote the digitization of records and documents to build a database to serve the work.
The work resolution, monitoring, and inspection of direction and operation work are carried out in the electronic environment. Hanoi City Police also builds and operates a large-scale internal network system, connecting to the police of the communes.
In the coming time, Hanoi City Police will continue to build and deploy breakthrough digital transformation applications, in order to effectively exploit scientific and technological achievements, improve productivity and work efficiency of officers and soldiers; at the same time, reduce the time for administrative procedures for people.
Currently, every day, Hanoi City Police units receive nearly 2,000 applications for issuing criminal records, of which, applications returned via VNeID have a processing time of 3 to 9 days; through direct forms and public services takes from 10 to 15 days.
In addition, in one month of implementation (from March 1, 2025 to present), the units have received nearly 20,000 applications for granting and exchanging driving licenses.
