Boston Dynamics' Atlas and spot robots have impressed with their ability to do many things such as sprinting, exercising, jostling, washing dishes and even taking on other practical tasks. However, the latest video just released by Boston Dynamics has added another impressive skill: Performing rhythmic dance moves like real dancers.
The video shows the entire Boston Dynamics robot team of spot, Atlas, Pick and handle working together in a dance to the song "Do You Love Me" by The Contours with extremely rhythmic and lively coordination moves.
This is not the first time Boston Dynamics has shown its robot's dancing skills. Previously, in 2018, the company introduced a video about spot robot's dancing skills. But the newly released video takes things to another level when the Atlas robot takes the floor as a real dancer with a series of running, jumping, rotating movements as well as performing many different complex moving skills smoothly.
More impressive was the group dance performance with the participation of all 4 robot members of Boston Dynamics dancing around the dances and collaborating with other robots.
While the Atlas and handle robots introduced in this video are still in the research prototype version, Boston Dynamics has recently started selling spot robots to the market for a significant amount of $74,500.
