On May 20, according to information from the Office of the Da Nang People's Committee, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, signed 4 decisions to sanction administrative violations in the environmental field against enterprises in the area.
Of which, 2 enterprises were fined for operating without an environmental license. Key Tronic Viet Nam Company Limited (Lot X10, Road No. 10B ND, Hoa Khanh Industrial Park Expansion, Hoa Lien Commune, Hoa Vang District) and MP Pack Joint Stock Company (Road No. 6A, Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District) were both fined from VND300 million to VND340 million.
Hoa Phat Da Nang Steel Pipe Company Limited (Roads No. 4 and No. 7, Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District) was fined 370 million VND for operating a waste treatment plant that did not comply with the procedures.
TASUPHARM Joint Stock Company (No. 353/50 Cach Mang Thang Tam, Hoa Tho Dong Ward) was fined VND45 million for violating regulations on hazardous waste management. This company has not reported to the authorities about the storage of hazardous waste for more than a year without a treatment plan, and at the same time has not collected and stored hazardous waste according to regulations.
