According to the Forbes Real-Time Billionaires list updated on November 30, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup Corporation, has entered the Top 100 richest people in the world for the first time, with a net asset of 23.6 billion USD. Compared to the update on November 24, his assets increased by 1.7 billion USD, equivalent to 7.8%, bringing his ranking from 102 to 97 globally.
This is the highest asset ever of a Vietnamese businessman recognized by Forbes. In 2025 alone, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's assets have increased more than threefold, from 6.5 billion USD at the beginning of the year to 23.6 billion USD today.
Mr. Vuong's increase in assets occurred in the context that VIC shares continued to maintain a strong increase on the stock exchange. At the end of the trading session on November 29, VIC code reached VND93,200/share, up 5.4% compared to the previous session, becoming one of the codes with the largest impact on the VN-Index. Two other stocks in the Vingroup ecosystem, VHM (Vinhomes) and VRE (Vincom Retail), also traded positively, at VND 73,100 and VND 33,000/share, respectively.
According to Forbes, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong is currently the only Vietnamese businessman to be in the Top 100 richest people on the planet - a milestone of special significance, demonstrating the rise of the Vietnamese private sector on the global economic map.
Previously, in early November, Mr. Vuong ranked 125th in the world with 19.3 billion USD. The increase of nearly 4.3 billion USD in less than a month shows the strong price increase of Vingroup shares and the market's confidence in this enterprise.
At the same time, the assets of other Vietnamese billionaires also recorded slight fluctuations. According to Forbes, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Vietjet Air, currently owns 4.7 billion USD, ranked 838th in the world, continuing to hold the position of the only female billionaire in Vietnam on the list.
Mr. Tran Dinh Long, Chairman of Hoa Phat Group, with 2.8 billion USD, ranked 1,425, maintained his position as one of the leading industrial entrepreneurs in the region.
Mr. Ho Hung Anh, Chairman of Techcombank, currently holding 2.4 billion USD, ranked 1,610th, continues to be in the group of private banking leaders with the largest assets in Vietnam.
Forbes said that Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong first appeared in the list of USD billionaires in 2013 with 1.5 billion USD. After more than 10 years, his asset value has increased more than 15 times, reflecting Vingroup's strong momentum and the growing position of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the global market.
