On the morning of April 18, at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, a delegation including village elders, village chiefs, artisans, and prestigious people representing 54 ethnic groups organized a ceremony to report achievements to Uncle Ho. The activity is part of a series of events to celebrate Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day (April 19), according to VNA.
In the solemn atmosphere at Ba Dinh Square, more than 300 delegates from localities respectfully commemorated President Ho Chi Minh, expressed their gratitude and reported on outstanding results in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values.
Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) Trinh Thi Thuy; Director of the Department of Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups Trinh Ngoc Chung and representatives of departments of culture, sports and tourism, departments of culture and sports of provinces and cities.

Speaking to represent the people, Mr. Y Nen Hmôk said that the 54 ethnic communities always promote the spirit of solidarity, actively preserve and pass on cultural values. At the same time, the people strive to develop the economy, improve their lives, and build prosperous and sustainable villages.
Over the years, the cultural and tourism villages of Vietnamese ethnic groups have gradually become the "Common House" of the 54 ethnic communities. Many cultural activities and traditional festivals have been recreated, contributing to preserving heritage and educating the young generation about their roots.
The reporting ceremony is an opportunity for people to express their respect for Uncle Ho, and at the same time exchange, strengthen solidarity, and introduce the cultural identity of each nation. Thereby, continuing to consolidate the great national unity bloc, spreading cultural values in social life.
Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day April 19 is an annual event to honor cultural identity, affirm the policy of preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic groups, and at the same time recognize the contributions of village elders, village chiefs, artisans, and prestigious people.
