Mr. Dang Chi Quyet promotes the role of a reputable person, preserving Cham culture associated with livelihoods, contributing to sustainable development in the locality.

For many years, Mr. Dang Chi Quyet, Cham ethnicity, Khanh Hoa province, has become a bridge to bring the Party and State's guidelines and policies closer to the people. With prestige and dedication, he contributes to preserving Cham cultural identity, while also arousing community internal strength, turning traditional values into a driving force for development.

Born in the space of a traditional craft village, Mr. Quyet always believes that national culture is the "spiritual root", the persistent vitality that makes up the identity of the 54 Vietnamese ethnic communities. Attached to his homeland, he witnessed positive changes when national target programs were implemented: improved infrastructure, spacious houses, and the material and spiritual life of the people gradually improved.

Besides the achieved results, Mr. Quyet said that a part of the population is still slow to adapt to science and technology, income from agriculture and traditional occupations is not stable; the risk of cultural decline is always present in the integration process.

From that reality, he determined that reputable people must "go first, do first", and use actions to create trust. According to him, mobilization work needs to be flexible and suitable to customs and habits. He integrates policies and laws into community activities, traditional festivals or everyday stories so that people can "understand" and consciously follow.

In the locality, he pays special attention to linking cultural preservation with economic development. With Bau Truc pottery village, he and artisans mobilize to preserve handicraft techniques, and at the same time innovate designs to meet the market. The combination of pottery making with community tourism helps "turn heritage into asset", create stable jobs for hundreds of workers, increase income and retain local workers.

Not only developing the economy, Mr. Quyet also focuses on maintaining security and order. From understanding the area and community cohesion, he proactively mediates conflicts right from the grassroots level, contributing to consolidating the "people's heart formation", maintaining peace for the village.

What he is concerned about is teaching culture to the younger generation. He coordinates with the government to organize music and dance classes, Cham language, helping teenagers understand their roots, and prevent traditional culture from fading away.

From practice, Mr. Quyet proposed to continue to have specific policies for traditional craft villages in ethnic minority areas. According to him, in addition to capital support, it is necessary to focus on output and brand promotion at the national and international levels so that cultural products become high-value goods.

He also proposed a worthy remuneration mechanism for artisans participating in heritage transmission, and at the same time introduce local cultural education into schools in a systematic way. In addition, he hopes that Party committees and authorities will continue to create conditions for reputable people to participate in contributing opinions to socio-economic development programs.

We are not afraid of difficulties, not afraid of hardships, only afraid that we will not contribute anything to the development of our homeland," Mr. Quyet shared.
