On May 3, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee announced that the locality will host the 6th Cham National Culture Festival in 2026, national scale with the participation of 7 provinces and cities.
According to the plan, the festival takes place from June 26-28 with the theme "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Cham people in the new era".
The event had the participation of localities where Cham people live, including Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, An Giang, Dak Lak and Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the plan, the Festival aims to celebrate important political events of the country, and at the same time concretize Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture.
Thereby, contributing to preserving and promoting the cultural values of the Cham ethnic group associated with local socio-economic development.

Through a series of rich activities, Khanh Hoa expects to gradually build an image of a unique and attractive tourist destination, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.
The main activities take place at April 16th Square (Phan Rang ward) and some locations in the province. The ceremony part includes opening at 8:00 PM on June 26 and closing at 8:00 PM on June 28.
The festival part is organized on a 5,000m2 campus in April 16th Square, with many activities such as festival performances, Cham traditional cultural rituals; displaying cultural space, handicrafts, costumes, musical instruments;
Performing brocade weaving, pottery making, musical instrument making; mass art festivals, folk songs, folk dances, folk music; traditional costume performances.
Besides, there are sports activities, folk games such as football, volleyball, tug-of-war, stick pushing, water team.
Highlights are tourism promotion activities such as community tourism skills competitions; introducing typical tourism products, displaying OCOP products, local products and traditional culinary fairs.
In addition, a workshop on preserving and promoting the value of Cham cultural heritage associated with sustainable tourism development will be organized, creating a forum for exchange between managers and experts.
The plan emphasizes that activities must strongly express Cham cultural identity, ensure mass appeal, diversity, creativity, and uniqueness; and at the same time create a joyful atmosphere, spreading cultural values, people and local tourism, especially in remote and isolated areas.
