On June 20, at Ninh Gia Commune Health Center, the Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Society in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society, Hung Vuong Hospital and sponsors organized a program to provide medical examinations, free medicine distribution and gifts to people and students in difficult circumstances.
At the program, the team of doctors and nurses of Hung Vuong Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) performed medical examinations, health consultations, general ultrasound, electrocardiogram, hypertension screening, diabetes; and gynecological examinations and cervical cancer screening for people.
The organizers presented 500 gifts to people in difficult circumstances in Ninh Gia commune, each worth about 1.2 million VND, including rice, instant noodles, blankets and essential necessities.
In addition, 300 gifts were also given to students in difficult circumstances, each worth about 900 thousand VND, including cash, necessities and school supplies.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also presented Hiep Thuan Primary School with a 65-inch TV worth 20 million VND, serving teaching and learning.
The total cost of implementing the program is nearly 900 million VND.
The activity aims to contribute to taking care of the health and supporting the lives of poor households, near-poor households and students in difficult circumstances in the area.
