On January 26, Nam Can Tho University Hospital coordinated with Wonkwang University Hospital (Korea) to organize a charity health check-up program for people in Can Tho city and neighboring provinces.
According to the plan, from January 25-27, 2026, the two hospitals will organize free medical examinations, medicine distribution and treatment for people with an expected scale of about 3,000 people. The specialties to be deployed include: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Dentistry, Traditional Medicine treatment (acupuncture - herbal medicine), vision measurement and eye surgery (no eye exams)...

Prof. Dr. Dr. Dam Van Cuong - Director of Nam Can Tho University Hospital said that with a spirit of compassion and sharing, the voluntary medical program for free medical examination, medicine distribution and treatment not only brings high-quality medical services to people in Can Tho city and neighboring provinces but also spreads the value of love and empathy, is a bridge connecting hearts, contributing to deepening the warm and close friendship between Vietnam and Korea.
In addition to medical examination and treatment activities, within the framework of the program, an international scientific conference between Nam Can Tho University Hospital and Wonkwang University Hospital will also take place with two themes: "Prevention - treatment of cervical cancer" and "Situation of hyperglycemia in sick newborns".
Through the program, the two units wish to bring high-quality health services closer to the people, especially those who still face many difficulties in accessing health care services, and at the same time spread the spirit of compassion and social responsibility of the health sector.
Not only being examined and treated, people participating in the program also have the opportunity to experience Korean culture through exchange activities such as wearing traditional Hanbok costumes, learning about more than 30 years of Vietnam-Korea friendship and participating in meaningful community activities.
