According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Cao Bang province, by July 25, Cao Bang province had started construction of 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses according to the plan for 2025 in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.
The total target assigned in 2025 is 6,702 units, according to Decision No. 812/QD-UBND dated June 18, 2025 of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province. Up to now, the whole province has implemented the construction and repair of 6,684/6,702 units, reaching a rate of 99.73%.
Of which, 6,230 units have been completed (92.96%) and 454 units are under construction (6.77%). The remaining 18 households do not need to repair or rebuild.
The program mobilized a total budget of VND 345 billion 501 million, of which VND 258 billion 750 million has been disbursed. The State budget supports 76.3 billion VND, the local budget 11 billion VND, the Ministry of Public Security 110.4 billion VND, the 5% savings source is 40.1 billion VND, the socialization is more than 20.8 billion VND.
In addition, households have mobilized more than 86.7 billion VND. Localities and units have also supported more than 50,700 working days, 34 tons of cement, nearly 30,000 bricks, more than 1,000 cement pro-cement sheets and many other construction materials.
For transitional houses from 2024, all 504 have been deployed, of which 458 have been completed (90.87%), the remaining 46 are under construction. The total implementation cost is 18 billion 686 million VND, with 340 million VND mobilized by the people themselves.
Although the construction rate has reached 100%, many houses are still under construction. The main reason is due to prolonged heavy rain causing difficulties in construction, along with complex terrain, affecting the transportation of construction materials.
To ensure progress, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province is requesting localities to closely monitor the weather situation, proactively coordinate human resources and means, speed up construction, strive to complete and hand over all houses before August 15 according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
