An Giang Provincial Police have just organized a signing ceremony for regulations on coordination with religious organizations and affiliated religious organizations in the area in the movement of all people protecting national security. Colonel Huynh Thanh Lam, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, chaired the ceremony, according to the An Giang Provincial Police e-Portal.
Over the past time, the coordination between the provincial police and religious organizations has achieved many practical results, contributing to maintaining security and order at the grassroots level.
Through patriotic emulation movements, religious compatriots actively participate in ensuring security and order; religious organizations promote the role of mobilizing dignitaries, officials, and believers to comply with the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State, strengthening the great national unity bloc.
In social security work, implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the Provincial Police has directed the review and support of housing construction for people, especially Khmer people. Up to now, the locality has completed and handed over 605/600 houses, exceeding 0.8% of the assigned target.
Prominent is the 2 An model "Security and Order - Social Security" between the Provincial Police and the Central Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhist Sangha. The two sides have coordinated to organize 1,034 launching sessions of the all-people movement to protect national security with more than 10,091 participants; supported the new construction and repair of 1,758 houses, 82 rural traffic bridges; presented gifts and necessities to poor and difficult households with a total budget of over 167 billion VND.
According to the newly signed regulations, in the coming time, the Provincial Police and religious organizations will continue to promote the role of dignitaries, officials, and believers in building the all-people movement to protect national security; mobilize the strength of the masses to participate in preventing and combating crimes and social evils, building a safe environment for security and order, and at the same time proactively prevent acts of taking advantage of religion to infringe on national security, contributing to maintaining political stability and social order and safety in the area.
