Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hoa - Commander of the Border Guard Command of Dong Thap province - has just chaired the Conference to announce the decision to establish the Unmanned Vehicles Platoon directly under the Staff Department.
The establishment of the Unmanned Vehicles Platoon aims to improve management capacity, protect territorial sovereignty, national border security, and meet task requirements in the new situation.

This is a specialized force equipped and trained to effectively exploit unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), serving reconnaissance, observation, patrol, and surveillance on the border line.
The application of modern technology will contribute to improving the efficiency of grasping the situation, strengthening the ability to control the area, and supporting forces performing tasks to detect and promptly handle arising incidents.
Speaking to direct at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hoa emphasized that the introduction of unmanned vehicles to perform tasks is an important solution to modernize border management and protection. At the same time, he requested the Platoon to quickly stabilize its organization, consolidate its staff, improve the level of exploitation and operation of equipment, and be ready to perform all assigned tasks well.
The Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command also requested the unit to closely coordinate with forces on the route, promote the effectiveness of unmanned vehicles in managing and protecting territorial sovereignty, maintaining national border security, contributing to building an increasingly solid all-people border defense posture.
