On May 22 and 23, the working delegation of the Military Command (CHQS) of An Giang province coordinated with doctors and nurses of Kien Giang General Hospital to examine and distribute free medicine to people in Ta Keo province, Kingdom of Cambodia.
From early morning, the examination area was crowded with people. Many elderly people with canes, young children were brought by their parents very early to wait for examination.

The place where the delegation came to examine patients and provide free medicine on this occasion was once a resistance base of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers when participating in the Southwest border war. People here mainly live on agriculture, far from the center, so material and spiritual life and health care conditions are still backward and face many difficulties and shortages.
Doctors and nurses quickly started working with the highest sense of responsibility. From measuring blood pressure, ultrasound, general examination to dispensing medicine, everything was carried out urgently and thoughtfully. For many cases of elderly people who do not understand Vietnamese, the translation force and staff of Team K93 have provided extremely enthusiastic support to facilitate medical examination.
Throughout the process of operating in friendly countries, the delegation has always received active support from the government, armed forces and local people. Representatives of the government and military forces of Ta Keo province expressed their gratitude for the feelings and good deeds of the Vietnamese delegation, and highly appreciated the solidarity and close relationship between the armed forces of the two sides in the past time.
On this occasion, the delegation of doctors and medical staff of the An Giang Provincial Military Command examined and provided more than 400 free medicines to officials and people here, each medicine worth 100,000 VND. At the same time, at the place of medical examination and medicine distribution, the delegation also presented 60 gifts to poor families, each gift worth 500,000 VND. The above action has left many good feelings for the local government and people of the friendly country about the image of Vietnamese soldiers in peacetime.

Colonel Cao Minh Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of An Giang Provincial Military Command, said: "The organization of medicine distribution and gift giving to people in Ta Keo province by the Provincial Military Command with Kien Giang General Hospital to care for people's lives in friendly Cambodia has thereby strengthened the friendly solidarity between the two ethnic groups of Vietnam and Cambodia as well as between An Giang province and Ta Keo province. This also creates conditions for Team K93 to grasp more information about martyrs' graves in friendly countries, thereby helping the team to successfully complete the task of searching for and repatriating remains of martyrs, volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who sacrificed during the resistance wars in friendly countries".
