After more than a year of implementation, the "Digital Literacy" movement in Dong Thap province has gradually entered life in ways that are close to the people and close to reality.
From VNeID usage instructions, online application submission, cashless payments to online fraud identification, the movement contributes to forming a dynamic and confident "digital citizen" generation.
Digital literacy" inherits the spirit of enlightenment and improving people's knowledge from the "Digital literacy" movement launched by President Ho Chi Minh more than 80 years ago. If previously it was eradicating illiteracy, now the focus is on popularizing digital skills, helping people use technology in learning, labor, production and life.
Dong Thap determines that digital transformation must start from the people, taking the people as the center and subject. Departments, branches, and localities mobilize community digital technology teams, youth union members, and mass organizations to bring digital skills to each residential area.
After one year of implementation, the province has 1,693 community digital technology teams with more than 10,200 members; 114 "Digital Literacy" teams with over 6,000 union members and youth. 87% of adult people have basic digital knowledge and skills; 87% of people have been certified to achieve digital knowledge universalization on the VNeID platform; 100% of cadres, civil servants, and public employees are trained in digital transformation knowledge.

In My Phong ward (Dong Thap), digital skills are integrated into neighborhood activities, unions and the one-stop-shop department. People are guided directly on the phone, while the elderly are "holding hands and guiding" until they become proficient. From there, the "digital family" model is effective when members use technology proficiently and continue to guide parents, grandparents and grandchildren.
In Trung An ward, models "Digital Trade Union - Connecting Union Members", community digital technology teams are being deployed to boarding houses, residential areas, supporting workers to use VNeID, digital signatures, electronic payments, online public services and personal information protection.
Meanwhile, My Tra ward implements the motto "going through each alley, knocking on each house, guiding each citizen", making members of the community digital technology team become "digital ambassadors".
Practical ways of doing things are creating a habit of using digital platforms in the community, contributing to the formation of "digital families", "digital residential areas", creating a foundation for the development of digital government, digital economy and digital society in Dong Thap.
